Checks & Calibrations

Operational Checks

This is not a calibration. An ‘Operational Check’ will evaluate the performance and/or accuracy of equipment using tools and instrumentation of known standard or reference. A field service report will be provided offering a basic summary of findings. If the equipment does NOT appear to meet specification and repairs, adjustments, or calibration are needed, additional charges may apply.

Standard Calibration

Everything from an ‘Operational Check’, and we use OEM recommended and laboratory-developed calibration procedures to calibrate the equipment. A calibration sticker with the next calibration due date gets affixed to the equipment. If the equipment does NOT meet specifications and/or repairs are needed, additional charges may apply.

ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration

Everything from a ‘Documented Calibration’ as well as uncertainty data. The calibration report will include our accreditation body’s logo and certificate number. If the equipment does NOT meet specifications and repairs are needed, additional charges may apply.

Documented Calibration

Everything from a ‘Standard Calibration’ as well as a calibration report /certificate documenting all traceable test equipment and data point readings. If the equipment does NOT meet specification and repairs are needed, additional charges may apply.

Confidentiality: All pricing, terms and conditions of any service agreements or estimates are absolutely confidential between Tritech and the customer and shall not be disclosed to any other parties except as may be necessary to execute agreement terms. Any disclosure, copying, or distribution of its contents are strictly prohibited.

How Our Calibrations Work

Type of Service

Operational Check

Standard Calibration

Documented Calibration

Accredited Calibration

Field service report summarizing findings.

Verify device operation using NIST-traceable equipment and tools

Device adjustment if found out of tolerance

Calibration sticker affixed to machine

Calibration report/certificate

Data points including “as found” and “as left”

Logo from accreditation body and certification number

Testing conditions (temp, humidity, barometric pressure) included in report

Expanded measurement uncertainty are recorded on report/certificate

Our Fume Hood Certification

We have expanded our calibration services to include fume hood certification. Typically, laboratory fume hoods are tested annually. Our testing includes the following.

General Cabinet Integrity Inspection

Visual inspection of the fume hood, including general condition, checking for flow gauge, alarms, sash, and baffle function.

Test & Certify Face Velocity Airflow

Fume hood performance testing through face velocity measurements using a calibrated thermal anemometer (air velocity meter) and procedure as outlined by ANSI/ASHRAE 110-2016.

Using smoke tubes and procedure as outlined by ANSI/ASHRAE 110-2016.

Test & Certify Airflow Visualization

Certification Sticker & Report

Fume hood testing certification sticker with system identifying information and data. Report that contains a through breakdown of inspection points, tests, data points, and findings during a fume hood certification.
